Code of Conduct

CSL Code of Conduct

The Carolina Select Lacrosse Directors and Coaching Staff have developed this Code of Conduct to guide player and parental performance and behavior.  Prior to the beginning of each season, each player and parent is required to sign the Code of Conduct as a commitment to abide by the rules and requirements. 

The CSL is committed to preserving the history and honor of the game and the true spirit of competition.  To help fulfill this objective, we expect that all participants abide by our Code of Conduct. Violation of any aspect may result in immediate expulsion from the team or event without compensation or refund. 


As a member of the team, each PLAYER is expected to:

  • Conduct oneself in a manner that honors the game and demonstrates respect for other players, coaches, officials, and spectators;
  • Discourage actions that are dangerous or demeaning to a player, coach, official or spectator; Avoid the use of, or possession of, alcohol, drugs, and/or tobacco products;
  • Wear all the necessary and required protective equipment for participation in games and practices;
  • Report any and all injuries to a member of the coaching staff or event medical staff.
  • Treat all tournament and camp facilities with respect. Any actions of vandalism or actions that result in damage to property will not be tolerated.Participants in any such actions will be held legally and financially liable for any and all damage to practice, game or camp facilities at every and all events;
  • Report on time for all practices, games and scheduled team events.


As a spectator and representative of the team, each PARENT/GUARDIAN is expected to:

  • Conduct oneself in a manner that honors the game and demonstrates respect for other players, coaches, officials, and spectators;
  • Discourage actions that are dangerous or demeaning to a player, coach, official or spectator;
  • Avoid the use of, or possession of, alcohol, drugs, and/or tobacco products while on site at CSL events;
  • Report any and all injuries to your child to member of the coaching staff or event medical staff. Treat all tournament and camp facilities with respect. Any actions of vandalism or actions that result in damage to property will not be tolerated. Participants in any such actions will be held legally and financially liable for any and all damage to practice, game or camp facilities at every and all events;
  • Communicate any concerns to CSL Directors in the proper forum.  Please do not approach coaches on or off the field to discuss concerns about playing time, strategy, etc.  This does not discourage you from building a relationship with your players coach and asking for advice, questions or clarifications.
