After a lot of thought and consideration, we have decided NOT to run a SPRING RECREATIONAL PROGRAM at CSL moving forward. We will operate Spring Clinics for STICKS n’ STONES (k-2nd), GIRLS YOUTH & MS this Spring Only as there is still a void for those groups, however we will no longer operate any Spring program for boys. Beginning the Summer of 2013, many of the CSL Girls Youth Coaches will operate CAROLINA LADIES LACROSSE, which will run Girls Fall & Summer Clinics as well as Spring Rec Teams (Spring 2014).  For more info on this change, click here. 

CSL will continue to offer our Carolina Select Travel Teams as well as our Fall Clinics and Indoor Box-Lax as an opportunity for players to keep sticks in their hands in the off-season. We also will continue to be involved with occasional education & fundraising events. At this point we “will not to attempt to be all things to all people”, but rather to focus on providing the best Carolina Select Travel Teams & Clinics that we can. CSL was started in 2010 to provide opportunities for players wishing to take the sport more seriously, develop advanced skills and participate in competitive tournaments. Following the extraordinary success of our travel teams, CSL branched out into other programs & clinics based upon demand. Spring Rec was a "developmental" offering that made sense at the time, but has pulled our focus away from we started CSL for.

In addition, there has been a drastic increase in the number of Lacrosse Leagues in the Charlotte Area in the last few years. At this time it does not make sense to compete against 10 other programs trying to offer the same product, especially with the large amount of time, planning and budget it takes to operate a Spring Program. There are many other well-respected Spring programs that can provide sound fundamentals to newer players in our area who are just learning the sport. For us, it is more important now than ever that we focus our time and energy on our Carolina Select Travel Teams and clinics where the CSL Coaching Staff and Development Philosophy offers a tremendous advantage over other programs.
